Pete Dee's Signature Schecter Guitar
The Schecter Pete Dee Signature guitar is brand new for 2009. Built with the same attitude and angst Pete Dee brings to the stage every night with the seminal English punk group, the Adicts, the Schecter Pete Dee Signature guitar is built to spew sweat drenched, machine gun fast power chords while standing up to the abuse of an occasional foray in the mosh pit.
Pete Dee and Schecter essentially made a custom guitar when they designed this Schecter Artist Edition. From the vintage vibe of the silky smooth Bigsby tremolo to the Adicts Joker inlay at the 12th fret and Adicts art on the volume & tone knobs this is the brainchild of a man who knows what he wants. The Duncan Designed humbucker in the bridge and mini humbucker in the neck give a wide range of tones perfect for inciting a riot. Are you ready for the Schecter Pete Dee signature? Get one while you still can...

BRAZIL /SO PAULO / 28 /03/2009 / 29/03/2009 /eazy.
AEAE! My first show of the Adicts, was in the days 28/03/2009 'eazy'. But also was the following day, it was PERFECT, and Clearly the best day of my life, the better weekend of my life! was perfect, I do not know how or even more for having gone up on stage both days, the Monkey God took my hand singing Angel haha, I felt the inspiration of music for a few seconds because the whole band so forward drama, it seems that the show was made especially for you, you feel if everything was the only for you, much more than a show, is really a celebration, the if it were his own birthday, I never felt so happy and now that past few days, what I remember most is of every detail, every song was perfect! initially with Dan and his violin smiling, too! even more have seen the kid Dee in the bar, chatting with everyone, so everyone smiling, passed an energy so good! will be unforgettable in my life, forever, the best show! and like pete said, see you next year, I hope EVEN, concerts, I will be there again, and even here in the shows of south america for the show! because something is really worth the penalty Adicts see, you have no explanation.
IS WONDERFUL!
Please come back, it will be perfect again, back to Brazil guys, everybody freaked with the show, was perfect! unforgettable!
I love you so much guys!

As they say here in Spain the show has been DE PUTA MADRE. It was the first time I saw the Adicts, though I covered some songs for years; anyway the show of yesterday night has been simply great.
The Clockwork punk kings shot for first one of their best song that is Joker In The Pack, followed by other great ones that shook all the fellas. It was really quiet a long time I didnt listened to a very fuckin rough 77 sound like this!!!
Its impossible not to mention the show seen apart from the great music heard: Monkey begun throwing cards playing from the beginning and later he threw literally everything on the people in front. At the end big balloons were bouncing on peoples heads(one of them is now my sofa). The Adicts have been really really a generous band. Nice too the calling up of the girls on stage, at least they dont pay for them (as Motley Crue do..). Well, apart from the gadgets, and a red haired girl beside me who was screaming for asking also Monkeys panties, I go on repeating the show has been one of the best Ive seen during last years, for the fuckers who love 77. I listened to a lot of songs I like as Numbers, Bad Boy, Chinese Takeaway etc. etc. and my girlfriend who didnt use to listen to mainly punk music was enthusiastic too.
Today I spoke about the show with my ex bass player and hes got tears in his eyes and was pissed off for he cannot see them once more during this year, as it was he who told me not to lose this show for any reason on earth!
Soso long Adicts, hope to see you guys again here in Madrid or somewhere else, it would be the same.

APRIL 1982 - The YMCA (now referred to as The Y) Chelmsford, Essex, England, Uk, Europe!
As I was walking home following another fruitless night of trying to find some fun in Chelmsford on a Monday night with my Droog Coops we chanced upon 3 skinheads who politely advised us if we wanted a good night out a band called The Adicts were coming to town on Friday. They were due to play at the YMCA they parted by advising us Be there or be forever ignorant of what Punk is really about. strange coming from such characters.
We had nothing to do on the Friday so we ventured along. Coops, Jammy Durham, Scuzz, Mads and myself to see what this band were all about. We were kitted out in standard uniform at the time Bondage trousers, Motorbike jacket with your fave band of the moment inscribed on the back, ripped t-shirt and of course obligatory Doctor Martens and hair allegedly in a spike cut or crude Mohican.
We arrived paid our 1 at the door ordered our half a pint of shandy and chatted with sounds of X ray spex, Buzzcocks, Ramones and others providing a background noise. The support band went through their repertoire and very good they were ( Action Pact). They finished and about half hour later I managed to get to talk to Georgie Cheeks their attractive female singer however I managed only a brief conversation as the lights dimmed and from somewhere a fairground organ started up Georgie stood on a chair and whistled and whooped, the massed ranks of skins, punks, even rastas and weird looking types pressed forward to the edge of the tiny stage and......................amidst a burst of sound and light 3 men in white and bowler hatted armed with a guitar a bass guitar and set of drums faced me and at their head a strange looking character also bowler hatted but with a keener dress sense burst into song; yes droogs I was hooked.
For the band were The Adicts, The song that came forth is still my favourite (possibly) How Sad Monkey fairly spitting the last line of the last verse I dont play the sympathetic part!
What followed was a show that still ranks as the best I have seen (Yes I was at Wembley to see the Foo Fighters recently and it doesnt compare!). One catchy little tune after another, clever lyrics and gluing it all together these 4 men or were they still boys back then in their quirky outfits performing with energy that Id never come across before.
Monkey was here there everywhere on top of the Amps for Hurt in the audience for Just like me singing and bouncing around with the rest of us although for a brief moment the words did become Oi! Wheres me bowler give us me bowler back oi ....OI!
It was a hot sticky night in any case and there was something electric about the atmosphere that night. It was a night that I still wish had never ended.
The madness of the gig still sends shivers down my spine! Some of the songs are lost in the mists of time I am sure there were classics such as Easy Way Out for instance I dont remember but lullaby was performed as an encore there were others Straitjacket England Tango I have vague memories of but the song that most sticks out......Steamroller the chant to Kids Frenetic drum lasted a while I think at the end of the evening we agreed on us chanting Steamroller at least 15 times before the Adicts joined us in another 4 chants and the final flourish. That was just before an encore of 3 songs (Lullaby, Songs of Praise and of course Viva La Revolution I believe!)
As we trooped out I realised I had become one of The Adicted. Unfortunately I didnt have enough cash on me to purchase The Songs of Praise albums being sold on our way out. (It was to be another 5 months before I obtained my album and it is sad to say far from perfect condition having been played to death!
Fond memories that I was hoping to resurrect on the 11th of September in Ipswich (home at last) but unfortunately it is the date of my Grans funeral and cant make it!!!! Still can you dedicate a song to her boys on the night? Too Young would be bill as she was 99!
Still Adicted!!!!
Rousey
I went to my first show ever on the 19th on May! It was ten days before my birth day. And all I asked for was to see my favorite band in the world which is you guys (the Adicts!!!) the first band was OK The dickies were cool. But nothing compares to The Adicts! I loved you guys I honestly don't think any show could top yours! I have listened to your live songs, and I have seen the live video but nothing I mean nothing compares to seeing The Adicts play live! when they played Angel then right after Life Goes On my two favorite songs from The Adicts back to back I scream my fucking ass! I had no voice for school the next that's how loud I screamed. When Monkey did the Elvis impression that was so funny and sweet singing one of his songs! I also got to share my First time at your show with my 12 year old cousin and she now a die hard fan! All because of your kick-ass show you guys put on. In the show I caught one of the cards Monkey threw, got a ball, and so close to getting on stage to sing and dance with your guys! But all you need was 14 girls and I was the four girls to late. Plus when they came out again to play two more song and ended the show with Steam Roller was fucking down. But fuck it I still got to touch Monkey and had the greatest time of my life! this show couldn't have been better.
Jennifer
I remember going to see the ADICTS at Showcase in Corona,CA on April 16,2007, which happens to be a day before my birthday! so u can bet i was excited!!!
I remember getting there and being like the 10th person in line :] we could hear the adicts practicing!! when they finally let us in my friends and i rushed inside and went straight to the front. We were CENTER FRONT!! yeah right in front of monkey! the only bad thing was we had tost and there for quite a while till the adicts played...that and the lead singer from THE OBJEX wore a skirt that day so every time she put her leg on the speaker we got a free, and unwanted show!!
Also she kicked my friend that was right next to me!(she later apologized) FINALLY THE ADICTS CAME OUT!! opening with of course "ode to joy" and then "steamroller".
It was an awesome show! being in front has its advantages!! When they played "Angel" MONKEY HELD MY HAND AND SANG TO ME!!! then he gave me many memorabilia!! like a silly string can(which i later got signed by monkey) and i also got many cards that were thrown by monkey throughout joker in the pack(which i also got signed by monkey, kid, and fiddle dan) I WAS ALSO GIVEN A DRUMSTICK BY KID HIMSELF AND HE AND MONKEY BOTH SIGNED IT!! :] i also caught one of the large blue beach balls!!
Overall out of the 4 times I've seen the adicts this was the best show!!! well all they're shows are freaken awesome but i loved this one especially because i got so many signed memories and monkey sang to me and it was all the day before my birthday!! :] I COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER GIFT FROM ANYONE!!! :)
I LOVE THE ADICTS ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!!!!!! <3
LOVE, Adriana :]
This is the 2nd Adicts show that my daughter & I have been to. I'm 39 years old. From the old school of punk. I took my daughter (13) and her boyfriend (15) to the front of the stage. The excitement is like nothing else you can imagine. Everyone moshing around & over you, getting pumped up for the Adicts to get on stage. Once Monkey came out on stage, the excitement was a practical 2-hour climax of fucking awesome music, pushing, crowd-surfing!!!! Watching the Adicts do what they do best, it such an awesome high!!! The guys don't just sing the amazing songs, their show is colorful and such a grand spectacle of glitter, flying colored paper, and of course JOKERS CARDS. They stand out from all the other punk bands in this aspect. The Adicts shows such a closeness & love for their fans. At the end of the night, all 3 of us came out of the pit with battle-wounds and proudly displaying them to eachother. We cannot wait for you to come back to Long Beach, so we can get our next fix. Because WE ARE ADICTED.

Adicts Show Review: October 22nd 2006/ Key Club in Hollywood/California/USA
I can recall the best Adicts show I have been to was when they played with U.k Subs, Osaka Popstars and Misfits. As soon as we got to the Key Club in Hollywood we scored some tickets and we headed inside straight to the merchandise area. I went and purchased an autographed poster which sadly I lost later on that night. So as we were looking around I bumped into my brother who was talking to Charlie Harper from the U.k Subs. So I go and take a picture with him and to my surprise guess who walks in through the door? The one and only legendary Marky Ramone. I could not believe my luck. I wasted no time and asked both Charlie and Marky for a picture. How lucky was that? So we were all done down there and headed to the top to get ready for the U.K Subs to begin their performance. To be honest it was the first time I saw them live and for an old band they sure have it in them still. They were fucking awesome. I was not a big fan but I enjoyed their performance. Next up was Osaka Popstar. I seriously thought they were gonna suck ass because the singer looked kind of preppy. They were cool. Their lineup included very well known members like Dez Cadena from Black Flag, Jerry Only from The Misfits and Marky from The Ramones. When they played their cover of Blitzkrieg Bop the crowd went wild. I wondered what was going through Markys head at that moment. I felt bad for the guy. Knowing that he was the only one left. In the end we all payed our respects and let him know that he was still the best. So up next where The Adicts. As usual everyone started pushing their way through the front to get the best possible view. So the lights dim out and the theme song from A Clockwork Orange begins to play and in the curtains an image of Alex the droog appears flashing. I can't describe the feeling. You have to be there to experience it. The curtains open up and the band members walk out onto the stage. Out came Kid, Pete, Dan, Mel and finally Scruff. Dan began to play Ode To Joy to which later the whole band joined him. So great seeing them in action.. As soon as the song came to end Monkey came out through the left stage and started the show with a huge VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!! The crowd went wild. You could see that everyone was having a blast. Some of the songs they played that night were, Ode To Joy, Viva La Revolution, Let's Go, Numbers, Tango, Go Genie Go, Cheese Tomato Man, Johnny Was A Soldier, Steamroller, How Sad, Mad Hatter, Bad Girl, Bad Boy (to which Jerry Only from the misfits came out and joined Monkey) Joker In The Pack, The Easy Way Out and many more classics. Of course the show could not be complete with another huge VIVA!!!! So as the band finished we hung out for a while and headed back downstairs. There I bumped into Pete who took me backstage. I was so happy to finally meet Mel. I had seen them play so many times but I had never had the chance to meet him. So there I was with The Adicts, unfortunately Monkey was not there at that time, So then Pete said they had to get going and he and I began walking back downstairs we walked right past the stage and he said if I wanted I could stay there. I could not believe it. I got to hang out with The Adicts and now he was giving me the opportunity to watch the Misfits onstage. Oh man oh man oh man. I must have been the happiest person there that night. Eventually though it all had to come to an end just as all good things do. So I meet Jerry Only, Robo and Dez Cadena and begin to leave the stage when I bump into guess who??????? MONKEY..... He was behind me the whole time. Awesome. Best night yet. Will never forget it. Hopefully you all get to experience the amazing act of the Adicts and enjoy it as much as I have all these years........

Well where do I start? Last night was fucking AMAZING. Me and Seb set off about 12.30 and we got there about 2.30 and we started drinking in the car til about 6pm when we then set off to go down to the Winter Gardens cause the only band we really wanted to see was The Adicts.
Anyways we were chilling out for a bit getting slowly wasted and I went across the road for a slash (punk rock style)- and saw this couple who we had seen when we first got there, old punks they were, called Susie (see picture) and Phil. They were so nice and they had been there for the whole weekend and slept in the car the previous two nights. They were off to see The Damned but I convinced them to go see The Adicts instead so they did as they had another opportunity to go see The Damned in their hometown in October.
So we were chilling, getting drunk, had the music on full belt, then when we'd drank all we could at that point we set off down to the winter gardens and chilled outside for a bit where this young punk Vanian, who'd been named after the lead singer of The Damned asked us for some uppers. (Chance would be a fine thing).
We then went inside where this guy looked shocked came running up to me and hugged me, I was like do I know you? And he proceeded stroking my face telling me how beautiful I was and his mate had to drag him off looking at Seb worried. Okk!
I had arranged to meet Pete at the merchandise stall and look for a big guy called Bison, well it took me an hour to find Bison and then Pete wasn't about so I told Bison to tell him I had gone to the other room where we looked for him for a while but then we went and sat in The Empress room. We then went back for a wander and I see this 5 FT 7-8 guy with blonde hair point at me and smile and I realised it was Pete hehe. We chatted and had a pic taken and he said he was nervous and then he had to go get changed, but that afterwards there would be a gap in the corner and we could go backstage. ^.^
So then I think we listened to a bit of the UK. Subs in the arena stage but in the midst of it all me and Seb were bored so we decided to have a fight. We proper went for it and he slammed me straight on my back knocking my head on the ground (stone floor)- You would have thought someone would have tried to split us up but we had a total audience and these guys were going "Punch her head in!" and "Knock her the fuck out!" Oh nice, hahaha. We got such an audience we made mates with Andrew (see picture) and his mates and they gave us some betty so we would have another fight later, lol.
Then I went off to the toilets but all was a bit hazy and I tripped up over the carpet in the Empress room, thought it was a weird bump when I realised I'd gone and kicked someone clean in the fucking head with my New Rocks on! The stupid twat was just laying there so it serves him right! At this point Seb was befriending Joe.
We bumped into Susie and Phil again and I went to the toilets to see if I could see owt cool to nick I found a pack of cigs and some empty rizlas (wow!) Me and Seb decided to have another fight while we were waiting for The Adicts to come on but this time when he jumped on me I moved out the way and he cracked his face straight on the ground and looks like he has broken his nose again LOL. He also pushed me on my back and my cocex or however, you spell it WELL hurt. We also got a guy saying "kill her!" nice to know the punk generation believe in equal rights and all that, haha. I had another guy come and stoke my face and tell me how gorgeous I was in the midst of a convo with Seb, what the fuck are people on in Blackpool =| ??
Then it was time for The Adicts!
This point my camera was fucking up, so I gave it up as a bad job, and only managed to take one pic of the band...
Well The Adicts totally blew me away and played all the songs I wanted them to like "Joker in the Pack", "How Sad", "Bad Boy", "Chinese Takeaway", "Ode To Joy", "Johnny Was A Soldier", "Tango", "Numbers" and "Straightjacket". They played loads more I was so impressed. Munky threw out playing cards during "Joker in the Pack" and was dressed really funky. They also threw out glitter, balls, and his top when he got hot! I was so fucked afterwards because I was fucking jumping around like fuck, these two prissy goth gals behind me kept bitching about me banging into them and I thought you're not at a fucking opera loves! After The Adicts which WERE INCREDIBLE we went backstage and I saw Munkey and gave him a hug and told him he was amazing (fucking no pic cause camera was dead)- and that we would come and see him again sometime. He was so humble and sweet. I waited for Pete for a bit and then he came out the dressing room and we chatted about the gig and other bits and then we went back in the dressing room and saw the whole band. There was just the band, some roadies and me and Seb in there but they were really cool about it. We hung out in there for a bit and Pete went to get some fresh air, we came out to find Pete but we couldn't find him so we decided to head back to the car cause we were fucked. So we set off back and I wanted a chip butty so we went and got some food and sat with some punks for a while. This Polish guy came up to the guy who was with us and started on him asking him if he had a prob with Polish people and all this shit and the punk just looked straight at him and said "I'm half Polish", he didn't know what to do then! We headed back to the car after a while but not before I could get Seb away from wanting to invite everyone back to the car for a chat, and we got back to the car and fell asleep and woke up a few hours later to the car shaking so we woke up and these two drunken cunts (was about 6am), had tried to shake the car so we woke up and realised we had no petrol to get back so we sat for fucking ages and Seb thought fuck it we will try and set off, so he moved the car and there was this rattling noise and the two cunts had broke the exhaust. This punk guy walked past us (called Al), and he was a mechanic so he fixed it for us and then he lent us a tenner so we could get back and we are gunna go stay with him when we go to London. J We set off and got back about 10 and slept til about 3 and then Seb dropped me off back and here I am writing this SHATTERED but had an awesome night seeing my favourite band play and hanging out with them backstage ^.^

Adicts Show Review: 10-13-06/The GAlaxy Theater/Santa Ana/CA/USA
That night was the best night I ever had. I think a lot of people too. It was great how after the U.K. Subs performed all of the people came into the crowd just waiting for the adicts to perform. When they played Ode to Joy everyone was just so excited waiting for Monkey to come out. As soon as he did everyone waas just screaming, they were all so happy, excited, jumping around, and then when he said viva la revolution everyone went crazy!!! The whoole time the crowd was singing their hearts out having such a good time and whenever monkey threw stuff out everyone was fighting for it like it was a million bucks or something. It was just so awesome then when they left the satge we all were screaming 1 more song! 1 more song! Then they came back out. We were all loud and excited It was the best show ever and I'm sure that I'm speaking for a lot of people that were there. Ihope you guys never stop playing thanx for such a great show. And I know I'm gonna stay adicted for the rest of my life. I love you guys.
The Adicts performance at this show was simply amazing and most of all unique from start to finish. The atmosphere in the venue was very intense. The crowd seemed to be mesmerized, captivated and honored all at the same time. You could just feel this in the air. As soon as the band took the stage, MONKEY had the entire crowd on fire and raring to go with his onstage antics and extraordinary stage performance. The entire band had everyone in the crowd jumpin' around and participating in the show. There was not a dull moment with these dynamic, energetic, clockwork PUNKS! Having The Adicts play at The Agora Theatre was a great choice. But the one main reason is, when the beach balls came out. There was so much room that all of the beach balls could travel to everyone. As the beach balls repeatedly made their way around the theatre, more and more people began to participate in the fun. The feeling of unity and celebration was one I have only witnessed and experienced at an Adicts show. Everyone was able to get knocked in the head, including the Adicts! However in addition to all of that, The Adicts just blew myself, and as it appeared the entire crowd away! As did the other bands that played the Fiend Fest that night.
ADICTS SHOW: Nov. 6th show at Top Cats, Cincinnati, OH, USA.
This show with The Adicts was just as amazing. Their performance was every bit as good as the show in Cleveland, perhaps even better! Top Cats in Cincinnati, is actually a bar. So it is much smaller of a place then the venue in which the Cleveland show took place. Seeing them play there was really awesome. It had much more of an old school feel to it. This show was much more intimate due to the fact that the venue was so much smaller and this show was not part of the Fiend Fest. I was very happy to get to experience both of these extremes with the Adicts in just two days. Yet again Monkey and his entertaining way of frolicking around on stage grasped the audience from the first Viva! to the grand finale, at the very end of the set, when Monkey dove into the crowd. Monkey; crowd surfing, simply priceless! However nothing compares to the moment in the show where, as Pete puts it; the crowd gets to feel their balls. The Adicts busted out the beach balls again. Imagine this, Silly-string, confetti, glitter, a colorful assortment of playing cards and a room full of various sized beach balls being fired out by Monkey and the band. Just let me say that such a small place made this part of the show very interesting and even more amusing. At one point a beach ball actually knocked out a stage light! The band was repeatedly being knocked in the head with random beach balls while never missing a beat. It was a very entertaining sight. Especially when the band members hit and kicked them back into the crowd. Or when they would get smacked in the head and not even seem to notice. A mixture of punks in the crowd with exceptionally tall Mohawks seemed to get the worst of the mad, lively beach balls released from the stage.
After the show The Adicts were signing autographs and fans were even able to get their picture taken with the band. There was just a sentiment of total relaxation by this time in the evening. It was more like hanging out with a bunch of your mates, who just happen to be some of the most brilliant men in the history of punk rock. This is perhaps the only thing that the Cleveland show was lacking. I was ecstatic to be able to experience it.
Over all both of the shows I had the honor to see were amazing. The Adicts show was absolutely the most amusing, intense and just flat out; the fucking most fun Punk Rock show ever! If you ever get a chance to seeing these clockwork PUNKS, you will NOT be disappointed.
The thing that amazed me the most was, whether listening to the CDs at home or seeing a live Adicts show. I could not hear a difference. The music is perfectly on time and Monkeys voice is crystal clear and powerful. These men are so in tuned with one another that their music exhibits harmony. This group of extremely talented men is a family and it comes through live. They live to give amazing music and art to their fans. After you go to see the Adicts next live show, go home, put in your Adicts CD and sit back, close your eyes and listen. You will feel like you are right back at the show. This kind of performance and unity is the reason musicians began doing live shows in the first place. To change how fans feel when they play the CD at home, to give us, the fans the entire experience of what the music is supposed to portray. It is true, that playing the CD at home will be missing one major detail. Monkey dancing, jumping and running around celebrating the music with you. But after seeing him and the boys entertain live, you will never again feel the same while listening to your CD. Or you will never listen to your CD without expecting Monkey to jump out of the CD player. Or at the very least you will feel so much like you are at a show you may expect a beach ball to drop from the sky and whack you in the head! Then again if playing an Adicts CD could really make that happen, I would never want to leave my house (haha).
After the show in Cincinnati, I got another chance to talk to THE ADICTS. Just chilling with them on their tour bus. Let me say they are almost as entertaining off stage as they are on stage. Not only that but they are ALL as nice as hell and very hospitable. Anyone who were to say anything different about this group of guys would just be fucking idiots!
THANK YOU to you all (PETE DEE, MONKEY, KID DEE, SCRUFF, MEL & DAN) it was wonderful to seeing you play both nights & to have met you each and every one! Can't wait to seeing you play again and to hang out with you more next time.
OI!
As the Adicts would say "STAY ADICTED!"
